What does a Water Operator do?
As an Operator, you will be regularly outdoors repairing and maintaining water and wastewater assets, playing a big part in maintaining some of the 56,800km of pipelines that stretch across WA.
Your main task is keeping the water supply running.
That’s finding and fixing faults on pipes and joints, upgrades and understanding the end-to-end water cycle and how water networks help your local community.
A usual day could include digging trenches, inspecting pipelines, and repairing broken water services, you’re doing this while building a collection of skills that can set you on your way to a technical or leadership role in the future.
This is a permanent full-time role to join our Wellington District team!

No water experience? No problem. We provide full on the job training, buddying you up with an experienced team member making sure you feel supported from day one.

Key skills and experience.

‘MR’ Licence
-
Mini excavator experience highly advantageous

Experience in civil work and/or water supply systems.

Certificate III in National Water Package otherwise willing to undertake the traineeship.
