Yard Team Member & Driver – Join a Growing Family Business
GoRecycle is a friendly, family-run scrap metal recycling business based in Wangara, and we’re expanding! We currently have an opportunity for a Yard Team Member & Driver to join our hardworking team.
This is a great role for someone who wants more than just a job. We’re looking for a reliable, motivated person who wants to grow with the business. We reward experience and licences, but we’re also happy to invest in a person with the right attitude with training, tickets, and opportunities to increase your pay as your skills grow.
About the Role:
Your day-to-day duties will include:
· Sorting and grading scrap metals
· General yard duties
· Serving and assisting customers
· Forklift operation (once ticket is obtained)
· Occasional driving in company vehicles (after obtaining MR truck licence)
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
· A full driver’s licence
· Good practical skills and experience using hand and battery-powered tools
· A strong commitment to safety
· A can-do attitude and willingness to undertake training if required
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· A positive personality with good customer service skills
· Punctuality and reliability is essential
· Good health and fitness, as some manual handling is required
· A willingness to be part of a hard-working but fun family business
Experience That Would Be an Advantage (but Not Essential)
· Forklift licence
· MR truck licence
· Experience in scrap metal recycling operations
· Ability to operate basic hand and power tools
To Apply You Must
· Be available 3–4 regular days per week on a long-term basis
· Have the right to work in Australia
· Be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
· Have basic reading and writing skills
