$59.59 - $72.64 per hour + 12% super & salary packaging | Permanent Part Time | Wollongong Hospital (TWH) | REQ681130 | Applications close: 26 August 2026

We currently have vacant hours;

Permanent Part Time 20 hours per week – Adult Inpatient Mental Health Service
Permanent Part Time 6 hours per week – Older Persons Mental Health Unit

The key function of this position is to provide evidence based assessment, information and treatment for consumers. This may involve brief interventions, assessment, initiating and managing planned treatment options, consultation and referral to other agencies or crisis management. A stepped care approach is recommended working with the consumer to achieve their treatment goals, that is, the treatment provided is based on ongoing assessment of the consumer's progress.

The role will involve conducting psychological research and evaluation projects as required. This will involve collaborating with senior clinicians to implement research projects that can be disseminated and applied in clinical practice.

Plus undertake all duties a Psychologist and Senior Psychologist as described in the Award.

Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
