We are a well-established business focused on retail and commercial projects, with more than 30 years in the market and 9 office locations across Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, India and Brazil. We are looking for a technically talented Architectural Technician to join our team in Brisbane. This is a permanent, full-time role for someone with a strong understanding of architectural documentation and the ability to liaise with multiple internal and external clients across Australia and New Zealand.
About the Role:
As an Architectural Technician, you will:
- Prepare architectural documentation, including plans, specifications, and detailed drawings using REVIT and AutoCAD.
- Conducting site surveys and measurements to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Collaborating with clients, consultants, and internal teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Ensuring all documentation complies with the Building Code of Australia (BCA), Australian Standards, and relevant planning processes.
- Contributing to retail store planning and shop fit-out designs.
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate has:
- 3+ years of experience as an architectural technician, preferably in retail or commercial sectors.
- A relevant qualification in architecture, building design, or drafting.
- Advanced proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and Australian Standards.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, consultants, and team members.
- A proactive and self-motivated attitude with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
- Are able to work both autonomously and as a member of a small/medium/big team and meet deadlines, keeping a strong attention to detail.
- Are able to organise and prioritise work with excellent time management.
- Drive to learn and open to new ways of working while striving for quality and excellence in all aspects of work.
- Possess any recognised tertiary qualification in architecture, building design, or related field.
- Have good knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel and a current driver's licence.
