About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day administration and business support functions across the Broome Aviation Group of Companies.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating administration, accounts, payroll, HR support, office operations and compliance. You will work closely with the Managing Director and Financial Controller and provide support across the wider business.
The role suits someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership, can manage competing priorities and is confident leading a small team in a dynamic operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate day-to-day office and administrative operations.
- Lead, supervise and support administration, accounts and operational support staff.
- Allocate work, monitor workloads and support staff performance.
- Develop, implement and maintain effective office systems, policies, procedures and workflows.
- Coordinate office resources, facilities, equipment, supplies and procurement.
- Maintain effective records management, document control and information systems.
- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, staff induction, training and employee records.
- Coordinate payroll, leave records and other HR administration.
- Support compliance with employment, aviation, workplace and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate insurance renewals, documentation and compliance activities.
- Prepare reports, business information and management documentation.
- Assist with business improvement projects, commercial activities and new initiatives.
- Coordinate marketing administration, website updates and promotional material.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, tourism operators, contractors and other stakeholders.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve business systems, processes and operational efficiency.
- Provide administrative support to senior management as required.
About You
We are seeking someone with:
- Demonstrated experience in office management or business administration.
- Experience supervising or leading administration and/or finance staff.
- Strong knowledge of payroll, administration and office management systems.
- Excellent organisational, planning and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High-level computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Experience with MYOB or similar accounting software.
- The ability to solve problems, improve processes and work independently.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy operational environment.
- A proactive approach with strong attention to detail and a high level of accountability.
Desirable:
Experience in aviation, tourism or transport.
