Job Description

Location of Branch: Bromelton - approximately 10km outside of Beaudesert

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

Identify and establish strong relationships with key decision-makers, industry leaders, and influencers across target markets.
Understand client needs and tailor solutions to suit operational and commercial requirements
Provide post-sale support to ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations
Maintain a high level of client satisfaction by ensuring high-quality, personalised service and anticipating client needs.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.

Brand Representation & Market Research

Serve as an ambassador for the company’s brand and values in the Queensland market.
Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, business opportunities, and competitive landscapes in Queensland.
Identify and report industry trends and emerging opportunities that expand the business’ service offering
Assess potential sectors for growth.
Provide market intelligence to support and inform senior team members, including market analysis, competitor analysis and service analysis
Analyse customer needs, industry dynamics, and potential partner opportunities to strategically position the company in high-growth markets.
Contribute to developing marketing campaigns and promotional strategies aimed at enhancing the company’s visibility and reputation.

Strategic Planning & Business Strategy Development

Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company objectives.
Work closely with senior leadership to define key targets, set goals, and achieve revenue growth in line with company targets.
Design long-term strategic initiatives for new product offerings, markets, and partnerships

Sales & Revenue Generation

Drive sales process by creating proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing new business.
Ensure sales targets are met or exceeded by identifying new customers, cross-selling, and upselling services.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the seamless delivery of services and solutions to clients.

Reporting

Prepare regular reports on sales activity, pipeline progress, and market trends
Analyse and evaluate the success of business development activities to identify areas of improvement and optimize future efforts.

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications, Certificates & Licences

Bachelor’s degree in business, or related field
Qualification in Sales and Marketing
Current Driver’s Licence

Professional Experience

Minimum of 5 years in business development, sales, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of industry related experience.
Minimum of 5 years in outside sales with a prior track record of meeting / exceeding performance goals & expectations.

Skills & Knowledge

Experience using Microsoft Office, Linkedin, Excel, SAP (but not limited to) is an advantage
Professional & excellent verbal and written communication
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage competing priorities
Problem-solving, collaboration and negotiation skills
Logistics and transport knowledge of freight logistics and supply chain principles
Business intelligence.
Market, business, and seasonal trends

Personal Qualities

Attention to detail is crucial
Strong time management, planning and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
Strong networking and relationship-building capabilities
Self-motivated, proactive, and results driven.
Presentations, sales, commercial, communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Ability to manage multiple activities to achieve agreed upon time frames

Willingness to learn and broaden product knowledge
