We’re seeking a reliable and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team and help deliver exceptional dining experiences for residents and their guests — without late-night service or traditional restaurant hours (latest finish around 7.30pm).

About the Role
Working alongside our Head Chef and Restaurant Manager, you will support the preparation and delivery of high-quality meals across breakfast, lunch and dinner service.
This role suits a chef who enjoys working in a structured, professional kitchen environment, preparing quality food for regular guests and being part of a supportive and respectful team.
Key Responsibilities
- Must be able to lead and inspire the kitchen brigade in the absents of the Head Chef.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards
Food Preparation & Service
- Prepare and present meals to a high standard
- Assist with daily food production across service periods
- Follow menu specifications and recipes
- Ensuring accurate implementation of allergy awareness controls
- Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
Kitchen Operations
- Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Assist with food preparation, plating and service
- Maintain efficient kitchen workflow during service
- Contribute to menu ideas and daily specials
Quality, Compliance & Food Safety
- Follow food safety, hygiene and WHS procedures
- Assist with stock rotation and food storage
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment
- Support portion control and waste minimisation
About You
You are a reliable and motivated chef who enjoys working as part of a professional kitchen team. You take pride in consistency, quality and delivering food that people genuinely enjoy.
You’ll bring:
- Previous Sous Chef
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen
- Strong understanding of food preparation and service standards
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently during service
- A positive, team-focused attitude
- Pride in maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- Must be able to work across 7 days including weekends.
Experience in hotel, resort, café or restaurant kitchens is highly regarded.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (Cert III or equivalent) or working towards
- Previous experience as a Senior Chef, Sous Chef
- Food Safety knowledge
- First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Australian Federal Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Full working rights in Australia
