As our student support services continue to expand, we are seeking a compassionate, professional, and motivated Registered Psychologist to join our team on a contractor basis.
About the Role
Australian Direct Tutoring is seeking a registered Psychologist to provide psychological and well-being support services to children and adolescents across a range of educational and developmental needs.
This contractor role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work collaboratively alongside tutors, parents, and educational support staff to assist students experiencing challenges such as:
- Anxiety and school-related stress
- Low self-confidence and self-esteem
- Emotional regulation difficulties
- Social challenges and friendship difficulties
- Learning-related stress and academic pressure
- Behavioural and emotional support needs
- Motivation and engagement difficulties
- Neurodiverse learning support (ADHD, Dyslexia, ASD, etc.)
Services may be delivered:
- Online (Virtual Sessions)
- In-home (if)
- Community-based (where appropriate)
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological and wellbeing support sessions for students
- Develop personalised support strategies and intervention plans
- Work collaboratively with parents, tutors, and support staff
- Assist students in developing confidence, emotional regulation, and resilience
- Provide practical coping strategies and wellbeing support
- Maintain professional documentation and session records
- Deliver services ethically and in accordance with AHPRA standards
Essential Requirements
- Current General Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology
- Current Working with Children Check / Blue Card
- ABN and ability to work as an independent contractor
- Professional indemnity insurance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with children and adolescents preferred
Highly Regarded
- Experience working within educational or tutoring environments
- Experience supporting students with learning difficulties or disabilities
- Experience providing school-based or youth-focused interventions
- Knowledge of emotional wellbeing strategies for students

Pay: $66,766.13 – $140,565.58 per year
