Introduction:
Plantmark has proudly supplied quality plants and trees to the landscape, development, government, and retail nursery industries for over 35 years.

From tube stock to super advanced trees, we offer the largest range while maintaining the highest quality standards and competitive prices. Plantmark’s operations include one large-scale production nursery and six Wholesale Trade Markets with sales and distribution in Victoria and Queensland.

Description:
Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Trade Market Manager, the role involves hands on sales and customer service, along with plant consultation, scanning stock, processing payments and liaising with suppliers. Also required are general nursery duties including weeding, watering, merchandising, grounds maintenance and using trade equipment.

The position is full time, working a five-day roster Monday to Friday plus occasional weekend watering duties.

Business operational hours are: Weekdays 7.00 am – 5.00 pm and Saturdays 8.00am - 4.00pm.

Plantmark offers a four week induction and training program, with face to face learning and online courses presenting a roadmap for success in the role.

Skills and Experiences:
Essential attributes

To be successful as a Plantmark Trade Market Sales and Service person, you will have:

High level customer service skills with a proactive approach to solving queries.
Adept with following processes and responsibilities
Confident computer ability at intermediate standards.
Positive work ethic with ability to effectively work unsupervised as well as in a team.
Passion for plants with a knowledge of Botanical plant identification and/or horticulture experience or keen to learn

Favourable attributes

Supervisory aspirations
Effective communicator across a varied group of individuals
Accountability for tasks with a sense of urgency and a keen eye for detail.
Experience in Nursery irrigation and maintenance.

Applicants must also be capable of performing regular heavy lifting tasks and be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
