As a Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant in Woolloongabba, you will be a fully qualified Occupational Therapist, Exercise Physiologist or Physiotherapist. Your role will be diverse, offering a wide range of responsibilities across workplace rehabilitation and injury prevention services. A key aspect of your role will involve delivering workplace rehabilitation services that help individuals engage in meaningful occupations through a client-centered approach, promoting optimal health and well-being. Your duties will include:
Assessing injured and ill workers to determine the best strategies for facilitating their return to work.
Visiting workplaces to understand the challenges injured and ill workers may face and educating employers on the health benefits of good work.
Case managing complex injuries and coordinating with treating doctors and health professionals to support injured workers in their recovery and return to work.
Providing clinical opinions and justifications through detailed report writing.
In addition to workplace rehabilitation services, you will have the opportunity to partner with various organisations to deliver a range of other services, such as:
Conducting ergonomic assessments in workplace, home, and vehicle settings.
Developing job dictionaries.
Performing manual task risk assessments.
Leading interactive manual handling training and implementing stretching and warm-up programs.
Conducting pre-employment assessments, including drug & alcohol testing, audiology, spirometry, vision, and functional testing.
