Full Job Description

Edge Early Learning is seeking an enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to join our centre in our second kindergarten room for 4-year-olds.

This is an excellent opportunity for early childhood professionals – including newly qualified graduates – who are passionate about the early years and eager to work within a supportive, collaborative team environment. You'll work closely with our experienced Lead ECT, receiving mentorship and guidance as you deliver high-quality education and care.

This Monday to Friday role is perfect for newly graduated early childhood teachers looking to develop their skills and grow their career in a nurturing, professional setting. Hours of work will align with the centre’s operating hours and the needs of the teaching program, so flexibility around this is essential.

What We’re Looking For

We're seeking an Early Childhood Teacher who brings:

Eagerness to learn – ready to collaborate closely with our Lead ECT and develop your practice

Newly qualified grads welcome – this role is ideal for those starting their ECT journey with mentorship to support them, provided you hold (or are about to be conferred) your qualifying degree

On this occasion, we are unable to accept applicants working towards their Bachelor qualification, or applicants whose only qualification is a Graduate Diploma or Masters of Teaching without the required experience (see below).

Essential Requirements:

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
OR Graduate Diploma / Masters of Teaching with a minimum 2–3 years’ Educator/Lead experience in a long day care setting within Australia

Certificates & Checks

Working with Children Check, mandatory
National Child Safety Training (GECCKO), mandatory
Training to respond to child abuse and neglect (ACT), mandatory
RRHAN Fundamentals & Masterclass (SA), mandatory
First Aid & CPR (HLTAID004)
Asthma Management Certificate
Anaphylaxis Certificate
