We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Conveyancing Paralegal to join our busy Real Estate team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality legal support.
The successful candidate will play a central role in supporting our Partners and senior lawyers across all aspects of conveyancing and property transactions. Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of legal documents
- Conducting title searches
- Liaising with clients and their solicitors regarding amendments, execution, registration, and distribution of finalised documents
- Drafting correspondence to clients and their solicitors
- All work will be reviewed by Partners or senior lawyers within the team.
- Working knowledge of the Land Title Act, the Body Corporate and Community Management Act (BCCM Act), the Property Agents and Motor Dealers Act (PAMD Act), the Land Sales Act, and the Retirement Villages Act (RSL Act)
- Extensive knowledge of conveyancing processes and procedures
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent time management abilities and the capacity to prioritise competing tasks whilst managing a high-volume workload in a demanding environment
- Experience with PEXA and a high level of computer literacy (desirable)
- Solid legal education and genuine confidence in own legal ability
- Ability to think laterally and consider all available alternatives
- A friendly and polite manner with all staff and clients
- Proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate the various courses of action that may arise in any given matter
- Calm and level-headed under pressure
