Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Lactation Consultant to join our Midwife Services Team at North West Private on a Casual basis.
As a member of our clinical team, you will plan, deliver and evaluate patient care with the support and guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders to ensure a high standard of service is provided to our patients.
Key responsibilities include:

Delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care across undefined presentations.

Conducting thorough clinical assessments and contributing to care planning across a dynamic casual roster.

Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Maintaining accurate clinical documentation in line with Ramsay standards and relevant legislation.

Support mothers on the postnatal ward and through the Lactation Consulting Clinic
About You
You are a clinically confident Lactation consultant with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will also demonstrate:

Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife/Nurse (essential).

Minimum 1–2 years' post-graduate experience in midwifery services

Current or working towards IBCLC certificate
-
Prescribing for midwives’ certificate (desirable)
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and time management skills.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.
