About the business

MyFirstGym is a one stop fitness shop for children from 7 months right through to 15 years. We deliver outcome based programs and inspire kids to fall in love with movement and fitness.

Our development programs are designed to improve children's physical literacy, while our specialty programs are designed to focus on specific sports. Our specialty programs include Martial Arts, Ninja Warrior, Yoga, Dance, Gymnastics, Cheer, Parkour, Boxing and MFG Fit.

MyFirstGym Coaches are not just coaches, they are mentors, friends and role models who are passionate about working with children.

About the Coaching Role

MyFirstGym Springfield are seeking Gymnastics/Tumble Coaches to work at our Springfield facilities.

We have classes across our timetable morning and afternoon, 7 days per week. Our coaches also assist with events, birthday parties and assist with admin duties.

Our Gymnastics classes run at Springfield Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons. Must be available on these afternoons.

Our gymnastics classes are designed to get children to move using the basic principles of gymnastics. Our Gymnastic classes aims to give children more control over their bodies and focus on demonstrating the correct technique to develop control and relative body strength.

The role of a MyFirstGym Coach is to inspire children to love movement and fitness, and help them to progress from class to class. We are looking for a Gymnastics Coach to start ASAP.

Skills and experience

Experience working with children
Hold a current working with children's check
First Aid Certificate (ideal but not essential)
Intermediate or Advanced Gymnastics accreditation a must or Gymnastics/tumble coaching experience
Fun and passionate with a bubbly and outgoing personality
Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to redirect and think quick on your toes

Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Springfield QLD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
