Your new role:
As a Principal House Officer (ENT), you will provide high-quality medical care to patients within the Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Department at Logan Hospital, working under the supervision of consultant medical staff and contributing to the delivery of safe, effective and patient-centred care.
Participate in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and emergency care, including ordering investigations and documenting management plans.
Provide clinical and administrative support to the ENT service, including discharge summaries, consent-related communication and coordination with interprofessional teams.
Contribute to education and supervision by supporting junior medical staff and students, presenting at tutorials and grand rounds, and participating in on-the-job training.
Maintain safe, high-quality practice through effective clinical handover, participation in audits and quality improvement activities, and adherence to hospital policies and NSQHS Standards.
About you:
We are seeking a motivated medical practitioner who combines strong clinical capability with excellent teamwork, communication and professional standards in a busy hospital environment.
Holds a relevant medical degree and current registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
Demonstrates strong clinical knowledge and skills, with the ability to assess patients, prioritise care and manage competing demands effectively.
Builds rapport with patients, carers and colleagues, communicates clearly and contributes positively to multidisciplinary team objectives.
Shows commitment to continuous learning, quality improvement, safety, integrity and respectful, inclusive care for all patients and staff.
