Full Stack Developer – AI Team (Global Digital)

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Developer to join our Brisbane-based AI Team. This role is ideal for a developer with a passion for innovation, a strong technical foundation, and an interest in how emerging technologies can transform design and the built environment.

The successful candidate will collaborate across disciplines to create scalable, cloud-native software that enables better design, decision-making, and outcomes for real-world environments.

What You’ll Do

Develop and maintain modern web applications and RESTful APIs.
Build and integrate AI/ML features into front-end and back-end systems.
Create intelligent tools from generative design aids to data-driven recommendations.
Contribute to software architecture and technical design decisions.
Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Implement scalable, automated CI/CD and testing processes.
Collaborate in agile, cross-functional teams across design and technology disciplines.

What We’re Looking For

You’re a creative problem solver who thrives at the intersection of design, data, and technology. You don’t need experience in architecture — just curiosity, adaptability, and a builder’s mindset.

Core Technical Skills

5+ years of commercial full stack development experience.
Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, ES6/TypeScript, and responsive design.
Solid experience with React (or similar frameworks).
Backend development expertise in Python (FastAPI/Flask), .NET Core, or Node.js.
Experience with RESTful APIs, relational and NoSQL databases, and version control.
Understanding of scalable, modular, and maintainable code practices.

AI/ML Integration

Experience or strong interest in integrating AI/ML tools such as OpenAI, Hugging Face, or LangChain.
Exposure to generative design, intelligent search, or context-aware applications is a plus.

Mindset & Collaboration

Curious, research-oriented, and proactive in learning new technologies.
Strong communication skills, able to bridge technical and non-technical discussions.
Comfortable working both independently and within agile, multidisciplinary teams.
Interest in the built environment, design technology, or human-centred design.
