Our Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and community focused individual to deliver building projects as part of a large building program. You will have project management experience, ideally within building and construction.
Responsibilities & how you will make a difference:

End-to-end project management of a portfolio of projects.

Project managing a range of Capital works projects across the Alpine Shire.

Ensuring project milestones are met, and that delivery, performance and financial targets are achieved.

Assisting in the establishment of relationships with diverse stakeholders to manage risks and resolve issues impacting project delivery, including managing sensitive negotiations.

Overseeing and assessing designs and specifications submitted by consultants for compliance with relevant Acts, Regulations and Council policies.

Oversee site inspections of works for compliance with approved designs and relevant standards.

Deliver the scoping of asset renewal projects for delivery by either of Council’s Operations or Asset and Engineering teams.
Required Qualifications & Experience:

Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Building and Construction and/or relevant experience.

Project management experience in local government would be desirable.

End-to-end project management experience in building and civil construction is highly desirable.

Experience with contract administration.

Experience dealing with planning permits.
-
Strong written skills ability to write reports and prepare external correspondence.

Demonstrated skills in managing diverse workloads to meet deadline and budget targets.

Including exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
