About the Role

Reporting to the Paint Supervisor, your duties will be the preparation of ARB products, such as canopies and bull bars prior to painting.

Key responsibilities include:

Quality check for any manufacturing defects.
Removing weld splatter.
For bars - Check weld tag part number against work order part number.
Sanding fabricated parts/canopy shell with an orbital sander.
Rub down fabricated parts/canopy shell with abrasives such as sandpaper or scotchbrite.
Remove dust from fabricated parts/canopy shell.
For canopy shells – mask up the canopy to prevent overspray
Maintenance of tools.
Booth housekeeping.
Perform all duties safely and in accordance with SOPs and other training provided.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

Experienced in automotive or industrial pre-paint preparation preferred but not essential – a passion for 4WDs and the ability to learn a must!
Ability to meet strict deadlines and targets.
An eye for detail and a high-quality standard.
A high level of housekeeping standards. Sound time management.
You will need to adhere to ARB's strict standard operating procedures.
