Role Description
As Digital FX Machinery continues to expand its DTF and UV DTF product portfolio, digital presence, and customer education resources, we are seeking a skilled Multimedia Designer to join our team This role is required on a full-time onsite basis at our Brendale warehouse due to the ongoing need for in-house multimedia production, technical collaboration, and customer support content development.
The Multimedia Designer will be responsible for planning, designing, producing and supervising multimedia content across digital, print, video, educational, and online platforms, with a strong focus on DTF and UV DTF printing technologies, machinery workflows, consumables, and technical product communication.
Due to the highly specialised nature of this role, direct hands-on experience within a commercial garment decoration or industrial print production environment is essential. Candidates must demonstrate working knowledge of DTF and UV DTF printing technologies, consumables, and machinery operations; this technical foundation is non-negotiable given the specialised customer education and machinery demonstration content this role produces. Applications from candidates without this background will not be progressed.
The role will support the company's ongoing development of customer education resources, remote installation support materials, troubleshooting and repair guidance, machinery demonstrations, technical product updates, and multimedia communication content to assist customers in understanding, operating, and maintaining their equipment effectively.
The Multimedia Designer will also be responsible for translating technical DTF and UV DTF printing information into clear and engaging visual content, while supporting the company's brand image, product communication, machinery launches, company updates, and digital presence across customer-facing platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Multimedia Design & Communication Development
- Consult with management, sales, and technical teams to determine project objectives, communication requirements, and multimedia design specifications for customer-facing and internal content.
- Research and analyse communication requirements for promotional, educational, and digital multimedia projects related to DTF and UV DTF printing technologies, consumables, garment decoration workflows, and technical product solutions.
- Develop multimedia concepts, layouts, storyboards, illustrations, and technical communication materials to support machinery launches, customer education resources, marketing campaigns, and company updates.
Multimedia Production & Visual Content Creation
- Design and produce multimedia assets including video content, motion graphics, photography, digital graphics, animations, and instructional materials across digital, print, and online platforms.
- Translate technical DTF and UV DTF printing machinery specifications, garment decoration workflows, consumable applications, and operational processes into visually engaging and accessible multimedia content for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare production-ready multimedia files, instructional assets, and digital resources for online publication, print production, customer education materials, and technical communication platforms.
- Coordinate and carry out multimedia production activities including video editing, machinery demonstrations, educational content creation, motion graphics development, and visual asset preparation.
Digital Platforms & Collaboration
- Create visually effective layouts and multimedia interfaces for the company website, customer resource platforms, and digital communication channels.
- Support the communication and promotion of DTF and UV DTF printing technologies, machinery demonstrations, technical product updates, company announcements, and customer education resources across digital and online platforms.
- Collaborate with management, sales, production, and technical teams to refine multimedia communication solutions aligned with business objectives and branding requirements.
- Select and recommend appropriate digital media, visual formats, and production methods for publication, display, and customer engagement purposes.
Asset Management & Documentation
- Maintain, organise, and archive multimedia assets, production files, creative resources, and digital content libraries for ongoing business, marketing, and customer support use.
- Assist in documenting multimedia production requirements and maintaining technical multimedia resources for future publications, customer support, product updates, and internal reference purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Multimedia Design, Communication Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in multimedia design, digital content production, graphic design, or related multimedia communication fields.
- Previous experience or demonstrated familiarity with Direct-to-Film (DTF) and/or UV DTF printing technologies, garment decoration workflows, heat press systems, flatbed cutters, or industrial printing consumables is required. Candidates without this background will not be considered
- Demonstrated experience producing multimedia content across digital, print, educational, promotional, and online environments.
- Demonstrated experience creating multimedia content for customer education, product communication, machinery demonstrations, technical product updates, or digital communication initiatives will be highly regarded.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, or equivalent multimedia software platforms.
- Demonstrated experience preparing production-ready digital assets for garment decoration and print workflows, including colour mode management (RGB,CMYK, Pantone), file format optimisation (PNG, AI, vector), substrate and fabric-specific design requirements, and print-ready file preparation across multiple output methods.
- Strong understanding of multimedia production workflows, visual communication principles, motion graphics, digital layouts, video content production, and technical multimedia communication.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple multimedia projects simultaneously, prioritise workloads, meet strict deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop engaging multimedia content aligned with branding, customer communication, and technical product objectives.
- Experience planning, developing, and producing multimedia content across social media, video, customer education, promotional, and technical communication platforms.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical information and collaborate effectively with customers and internal teams.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational, and project management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with management, sales, production, and technical teams onsite.
