Bigweld Gas & Welding Supplies is a family-owned, independent industrial gas and welding supply business based in Braemar, Southern Highlands NSW. As we grow, we are looking for a reliable Part-time Bookkeeper with previous bookkeeping or accounts experience.
About the Role:
This part-time position is for 24 hours per week, across 3-4 days, based on-site at our Braemar facility. The exact days and hours can be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate, with working hours between 8:00am and 4:30pm (Mondays are required).
This role would suit someone who is organised, dependable and looking to balance work with family, studies or other personal commitments. You will support the day-to-day bookkeeping and administration of the business, working closely with management and our team in a friendly, hands-on small-business environment.
This is a fully office-based role; remote or work-from-home arrangements are not available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing and entering supplier bills.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using our accounting system.
- Process and reconcile day-to-day banking transactions.
- Assist with weekly payroll and superannuation processing.
- Assist with financial reporting and BAS preparation as required.
- Provide administrative support such as filing, order processing and responding to customer enquiries.
Requirements:
- 1+ years’ experience in bookkeeping/accounts admin or similar role (required)
- Experience with Reckon Accounts Hosted or QuickBooks (preferred)
- Computer literate and confident in using Google Workspace
- Highly organised and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Willing to learn and contribute across different areas of the business
