About the role
Applications from ANZCA Trainees are sought for the 2027 clinical year
12-month terms are preferred, but 6-month terms will be considered.
Applications from trainees who have completed at least Introductory Training will be considered, with preference given to applicants who have completed the Primary Examination.
Appointments are across Eastern Health, including Box Hill Hospital, Maroondah Hospital, Angliss Hospital and Blackburn Surgical Centre.
Successful applicants will be required to do a rotating roster, which includes after-hours commitments.
Exposure to all ANZCA SSU’s except Cardiac and Neurosurgery

To be successful in this role you will possess:
Current registration with AHPRA
Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
A strong commitment to high-quality care
The ability to work as part of a diverse team
Excellent communication and organisational skills

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
