About the role
Eastern Health is seeking a qualified sonographer to join our comprehensive ultrasound service in a full time parental leave contract position.
You will rotate across sites and perform a wide range of studies, including:
- General, breast, MSK, and vascular ultrasound
- Obstetrics & gynaecology (including high-risk)
- Paediatric imaging
- Interventional procedures
- Advanced and specialist imaging (CEUS, renal, dialysis access, transplant)

About You
We’re looking for Sonographers who are clinically capable, team-oriented, and motivated to grow.
You will bring:
- Current ASAR registration
- Postgraduate qualification in Ultrasound (or completing in 2026)
- Demonstrated competency across a range of ultrasound modalities
- Strong commitment to patient-centred, high-quality care
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Interest in ongoing learning, teaching, and service improvement

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
