Your Role

Join our Bowral Youth Refuge team and make a genuine difference in the lives of young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in creating a safe, supportive environment while helping young people build independence, resilience, and a pathway forward. You’ll work alongside a dedicated team of Case Workers to deliver meaningful, person-centred support.

Your Responsibility

Support young people through intake and assessment processes
Create a safe, welcoming and structured environment
Assist with casework support, including practical assistance and advocacy
Liaise with external services to ensure holistic client support
Contribute to daily operations including meals, activities, transport and accommodation tasks
Maintain accurate case notes and communication records

You Will Need

Availability to work this rotating roster: Week 1: Thurs 17:00–23:00, Fri 07:00–09:00 & Week 2: Fri 17:00–23:00, Sat 07:00–09:00 & 17:00–23:00, Sun 07:00–09:00
Relevant Certificate, experience, or current study in a related field
Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach
Ability to work independently and within a team
Calm, confident and able to respond to crisis situations
Current First Aid Certificate
Compassionate, non-judgemental and values-driven
Current Driver Licence
