Our front-of-house team take pride in providing premium coffee and outstanding hospitality and we are on the look-out for an experienced Shift Manager / Supervisor with strong organisational and leadership capabilities to support our Restaurant Manager and Restaurant Team in managing the customer service team and restaurant in our high-volume bakery restaurant in Sutton Forest (Exeter).

Tasks and responsibilities
Report to and support the Restaurant Manager, with additional support provided from our Operations Manager, in the successful day to day running of the business.- Leading customer service shifts and the supervision of a small-to-medium-sized front-line customer service team (5-12 people).
- Lead "by example" - maintain high levels of professionalism, personal presentation, be happy to "roll up your sleeves" with the rest of the team.
- Manage the team on your shift, including directing staff for the most successful operations during your shift and ensuring your team are adhering to company policies at all times (including food safety policies, uniform policy, etc)
- Maintain a safe work environment in relation to OHS/WHS and food safety & hygiene.
- Ensure procedures, policies and high standards are carefully adhered to at all times.
- Additional management tasks such as rostering, ordering, training, etc, as required.
About you:
You have great customer service experience.- You must have management experience and preferably have managed teams of up to 10 people in previous roles.
- You are prepared to work weekends and evenings, as required by the business.
- You can confidently manage a team, including directing, disciplining and providing encouragement.
- You are willing to work with industrial ovens.
- You have worked in either retail, hospitality or QSR.
- You have high energy and initiative levels, as well as a friendly, outgoing personality.
- You are reliable.
- You are a quick learner and fast on your feet.
- Have a Basic Food Handlers Certificate or have one before starting employment.
- You must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position.
