The Goldfields Suicide Prevention Program is funded by the WA Mental Health Commission and plays a vital role in strengthening community wellbeing, reducing suicide risk, and supporting coordinated suicide prevention efforts across the region. Working alongside government agencies, community organisations, health services and local communities, the program delivers evidence-based initiatives that promote help-seeking, connection, resilience and community-led action.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating, implementing, evaluating and continuously improving regional suicide prevention activities in line with the WA State Suicide Prevention Strategy. You will work closely with stakeholders, community groups, government agencies and service providers to identify emerging needs, strengthen partnerships, coordinate training and awareness initiatives, and support the achievement of the Goldfields Suicide Prevention Plan.

You'll Need

Tertiary qualification in Health Promotion, Psychology, Social Services or an approved equivalent discipline.

Commitment to upholding HOPE's vision, mission and values.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with government, non-government, industry and community stakeholders.

Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and/or demonstrated ability to work in culturally secure ways.

Strong organisational, project management and coordination skills.

Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Experience managing budgets and reporting against Key Performance Indicators.

High-level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Strong administrative and computer skills.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the Goldfields region.
Pre-Employment Requirements

Current C or A Class Driver's Licence.

Current National Police Clearance (within three months).

Current Working with Children Check.
