About You:
We are looking for an individual with a passion for the hospitality Industry and takes pride in themselves, the venue, and their team when delivering the customer service experience..
You would have the ability to nourish a team environment and strive for all team members to reach their full potential in their hospitality career.
You would be self-motivated and naturally a multi–tasker, wanting a long-term position in our company.
To be successful you will need:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef
- Exceptional personal presentation and customer service skills
- Minimum 3yrs in a similar role in a successful restaurant / pub environment
- Required certificates relevant to job description
- Strong Leadership skills
- Creative mindset
Your responsibilities will include:
- Running the day-to-day operations of the kitchen
- Supporting and managing your kitchen team effectively
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, presentation, and customer satisfaction
- Managing seasonal menu changes & daily specials
- Cohesively working together with the General Manager on brand concept
- Following food safety procedures, stock rotation, managing wastage / food costs.
- Managing labor costs
- Managing all operations in the kitchen, including food preparation, production, and training of all kitchen staff
- Ensuring efficient, cost-effective kitchen operations.
- Ensuring that food products, presentation, and plating are of the highest quality, and are prepared to serve in a timely manner.
- Ensuring high standards of food quality, preparation, recipes, and presentation in conjunction with the specifications created
- Monitoring the kitchens holding and storage operations, stocking and food rotation
- Adhering to food service sanitation standards at all times
