Be part of a multidisciplinary team including Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Nurses, Midwives, Clinical Nurse Consultants and Aboriginal Health Workers, all committed to culturally safe care.
Strengthen culturally informed mental health practices across South Western Sydney, supporting Aboriginal families in ways that honour identity, culture and lived experience.
Work alongside clinicians to deliver care that is both clinically sound and culturally grounded, improving the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal parents and their young children.

SWSLHD delivers services across the traditional lands of the Dharawal, Darug and Gundungurra peoples, working in partnership with local Aboriginal communities to provide culturally responsive care. You will be supported to grow and develop through cultural supervision, participation in cultural strengths mapping, and connection to a strong and supportive Aboriginal workforce.

You will bring:

A strong understanding of Aboriginal culture, kinship, community strengths and social and emotional wellbeing
Experience or confidence in building trust with Aboriginal families and engaging with community organisations
The ability to apply an Aboriginal cultural lens to care, supporting culturally safe assessment and intervention
A genuine passion for improving access to culturally grounded support for Aboriginal parents, babies and families

Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P. Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
