Department: Monitoring & Evaluation

Department/Agency: NSW Reconstruction Authority

Location: Parramatta, NSW, AU, 2150

Req ID: 83744

Lead the design and delivery of best practice monitoring and evaluation to ensure disaster recovery, preparedness, adaptation and mitigation funding programs deliver meaningful outcomes for communities across NSW.
Ongoing, full-time role with the Grants, Program Design and Evaluation Branch.
Role can be based in Sydney or elsewhere in NSW by negotiation with flexible work options and hybrid arrangements available.
Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $149,739 - $173,174 + super.

About the role

The Manager Monitoring and Evaluation leads the development and delivery of best practice frameworks to ensure funding and grant programs achieve effective outcomes for communities.

As the Manager Monitoring and Evaluation, you will:

Oversee evaluation program frameworks, including systems, governance, standards and processes.
Lead monitoring and evaluation activities, including performance, risk, impact and benefits realisation.
Manage a portfolio of evaluations and delivering multiple evaluations across in-house and outsourced models.
Strengthen governance, decision-making and reporting through effective frameworks and oversight.
Build stakeholder relationships to support program delivery and resolve complex issues.
Drive capability uplift by embedding evaluation practices and leading a high-performing team.

About You
You are an experienced leader with strong monitoring and evaluation expertise, capable of managing complex programs and driving organisational improvement.

To excel in this role, you will have:

Demonstrated experience in monitoring and evaluation,
Strong understanding of evaluation frameworks and performance measurement.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities in complex or sensitive environments.
Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
Excellent analytical capability, with a focus on practical outcomes.
Experience leading teams and driving continuous improvement.
