Full Job Description

We currently have a permanent opportunity available for Maintainer Operator based at Callide Power Station in Biloela. Reporting to the Team Leader Ash Operations, you will safely operate, maintain and care for the Callide Fly Ash processing plant. Your day-to-day tasks include operation of the ash processing plant, maintenance of plant equipment, sampling and testing/recording ash quality and liaising with power station personnel.

Roster

38-hour work week
Monday to Friday
Weekend shifts and afternoon/evening shift covers when required

Your Opportunity

Contribute to a safe work environment for self and others, actively participating in safety meetings, observations and toolbox talks. Comply with Power Station & Cement Australia SHEQ policies and procedures
Operate and perform scheduled and reactive maintenance of ash process related equipment including pneumatic conveying equipment, air classifier and pumps
Monitor product quality through sample taking & analysis
Commission plant equipment when required
Maintain stock levels to appropriate and practical levels
Engage with Cement Australia Supply Chain & Logistics and others regarding site rules and power station requirements
Ensure all customer deliveries are to specification and delivered on time

What You’ll Bring

To excel in this role, you'll need:

Basic computer skills required
Trade qualified person highly regarded
Experience in a similar role with previous process operator experience is desirable
Light vehicle licence required
Forklift and EWP (Elevated Work Platform) licences desirable however training offered where required
Strong safety focus
Ability to work unsupervised
Trouble-shooting ability and root cause analysis skills
Ability and willingness to flex shift patterns and ash processing sites as required for breakdowns, leave or coverage - this includes weekend and public holiday work
