We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager – Running to drive profitable growth across our Running category within key specialty and sporting goods accounts. Reporting to the Senior National Account Manager, you will take ownership of your account base—executing seasonal go-to-market strategies, delivering strong commercial outcomes, and elevating brand presence across both in-store and digital environments.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow a portfolio of Running specialty and sporting goods accounts, delivering sales and profit targets

Execute seasonal sell-in processes including pre-lines, range presentations, and orderbook management

Build and implement joint business plans with key retail partners

Analyse sales, margin, and sell-through data to identify growth opportunities and re-order opportunities

Drive in-store and online execution excellence to enhance the consumer experience

Collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, marketing, and eCommerce teams

Support and execute trade marketing initiatives, activations, and local events

Build strong relationships with buyers, store staff, and key stakeholders across accounts

Deliver product training and technical education to retail teams

Manage forecasting, budgets, and account planning to ensure achievement of seasonal targets
About You
You are a commercially driven sales professional with a passion for running and the outdoor industry. You thrive in a fast-paced, field-based role, enjoy building relationships, and are confident influencing retail partners to drive performance. Your background best suited for this role is;

Demonstrated experience in sales, account management, or territory management

Background in running, sporting goods, outdoor, or performance footwear/apparel

Proven ability to manage and grow specialty retail accounts

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data and drive insights

Excellent relationship-building, communication, and influencing skills
-
Strong understanding of the running consumer and specialty retail environment

Solid understanding of omni-channel retail and eCommerce dynamics

Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Passion for running and a strong connection to sport
