Job Title: Cafe/Restaurant Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Location: FRESH LANE (Darwin)

Salary: Competitive salary based on experience

About the Role

At Fresh Lane, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Cafe Manager to lead our team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy venue. The candidate must be passionate about hospitality, customer service, and team leadership, with the ability to maintain high operational standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the daily operations to ensure smooth service
Ensure food and beverage service meets quality, safety and hygiene standards
Monitor customer service and promptly resolve customer concerns.
Oversee cash handling, POS reconciliation, and daily reporting
Monitor business performance and implement strategies to improve sales and profitability.
Maintain compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency.
Manage rosters, wages, and budgets to meet profitability targets.
Coordinate with suppliers to order and maintain adequate stock levels.
Develop marketing and promotional activities to attract customers.
Ensure compliance with licensing, health, and safety regulations.
Conduct regular staff performance reviews and training programs

Skills & Experience

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Cafe or Restaurant Manager or Assistant Manager role.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
Experience with POS systems, stock control, and staff rostering.
Knowledge of food safety and workplace health and safety requirements.
