About the Role
We are currently seeking a Female Support Worker to provide support to a participant within a Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment.
This position includes a combination of active and passive sleepover shifts and involves providing person-centred support that enables participants to live independently, engage with their community, and achieve their individual goals.
Please note: This position is designated for a female support worker due to the specific care, privacy, and support needs of the participant, in accordance with applicable legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist participants with personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, and hygiene support
- Support community access, social engagement, and recreational activities
- Provide transportation to appointments, shopping, and community events
- Deliver in-home support, including meal preparation, household tasks, and companionship
- Assist with medication prompts and daily living activities
- Support participants to build life skills, confidence, and independence
- Promote participant choice, inclusion, and goal achievement
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting requirements
- Work collaboratively with participants, families, and the broader support team
- Provide support during active and passive sleepover shifts as required
Skills & Experience Requirements
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Completion
- Working with Children Check
- National Police Check
- Current Driver's Licence
- Reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability to work active and passive sleepover shifts
Desirable Qualifications
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or equivalent
- Medication Administration Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum 12 months' experience in disability support or a related field
- Previous experience supporting participants in a SIL environment

Pay: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour
