We are looking for a hands-on, committed hospitality professional with a keen eye for detail and passion for customer service to manage our team and keep our Club the friendly, welcoming spot our locals love.
You will be comfortable working autonomously, whilst reporting to the board as required, be focused, motivated & organised.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership and making a venue their own, while still working closely with a supportive club board. You'll play a key role in driving the club's performance, hitting budgets and bringing plans to life in line with our goals. It could also suit an experienced Assistant Manager ready to step up into their first Venue Manager role.
· At least 3 years' experience in a comparable role
· Experience in all club operations - Gaming (Essential), Food & Beverage, Functions
· Sound Knowledge of Managing Compliance (Gaming, Liquor, AML, Workplace Health & Safety)
· Victorian Gaming Licence, RSA, RSG, First Aid, Food Safety Supervisor
· Venue Operator Nominee licence (or the ability to obtain it)
· Excellent communication skills
· Enjoy working hands on, as well as efficiently when it comes to reporting and paperwork
· Ability to meet and work towards both your own and the venue goals/deadlines
· Someone who has flexibility in working days, nights and weekends.
· Inspiring, motivating and able to provide coaching and mentoring to staff
What we are looking for:
- Current RSA & RSG certificates
- Current Gaming Industry Employee License
- Experience as a Venue Manager, or an Assistant Manager ready to take the next step
- At least 3 years' experience in venue management
- Strong customer service or sales experience
- Solid understanding of hospitality operations and best practices
- Experience with gaming reconciliation procedures
- Great organisational and leadership skills
- Strong communication and people skills
- Ability to lead, train and motivate a team
- Experience with rostering, payroll.
- Professional presentation and attitude
- Cultivate professional relationships with employees, customers, suppliers and relevant communities.
- Maintain strict adherence to all Vic Gaming and Liquor regulations, legislation, and licensing requirements
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the gaming room, including monitoring machines, cash handling / banking, and cash flow security.
- Drive venue profitability, manage operational expenses, stock and cost control, achieve financial targets, and produce reports.
