The Opportunity

G.J. Gardner Homes is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Network Growth team. In this key growth role, you will lead the expansion of our franchise network across Victoria by identifying priority territories, cultivating strong pipelines, and guiding high-quality candidates through the franchise recruitment journey.

What You'll Be Doing

Franchise Recruitment Strategy & Planning: Partner with the Network Growth Manager to identify priority territory opportunities, target lead profiles, and pipeline initiatives across VIC.
Lead Generation & Networking: Serve as the initial point of contact for new franchise opportunities. Build and manage a personal networking plan engaging real estate agents, developers, financial advisors, accountants, and industry groups.
Prospect Management: Manage prospective franchisees end-to-end through the structured 'G.J. Way' recruitment process, supporting them with business plans, applications, and transitioning successful applicants to regional leadership.
Best Practice & Compliance: Maintain robust CRM data, ensure representations adhere strictly to the Franchising Code of Conduct, and deliver regular pipeline reporting with actionable insights.

What You'll Bring

Proven Sales & Recruitment Track Record: Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, recruitment, or business development with a proven closing capability.
Strong Prospecting Skills: Skilled at proactive lead generation, hosting information sessions, attending networking events, and maintaining active CRM pipelines.
Communication & Compliance: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the diligence to operate within regulatory frameworks (Franchising Code of Conduct).
Construction & Building Industry Familiarity: Experience within the home building or construction sector, along with an understanding of the challenges facing small builders, is highly valued.
Business Ownership Experience (desirable not essential): Direct experience with entrepreneurship, small business ownership, or working closely within franchise models will be highly regarded.
