Intermediate Tax Accountant

Location: BEENLEIGH QLD
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intermediate Tax Accountant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to advance their career in a supportive and client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, and self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs).
Assist clients with tax planning, compliance, and advisory matters.
Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, and other statutory obligations.
Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) on behalf of clients.
Review client records and identify opportunities to improve tax outcomes and business performance.
Support senior accountants and managers with client engagements and special projects.
Maintain strong client relationships through professional communication and service.

About You

2–5 years of experience in public practice accounting.
Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirements.
Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns across various entity types.
Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, and Microsoft Office.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
