Work locally in your own community in the Indigo Shire with paid travel time and km's
$32.61- $37.68per hour
Permanent Part Time & Casual Positions available

We are seeking an enthusiastic community-focused person who want to make a difference by connecting and supporting older people within the Indigo Shire towns of Beechworth, Rutherglen, Yackandandah & Tangambalanga.

About this Role

You will provide compassionate home-based care by building trust and taking the lead to support individuals to live as independently as possible at home and stay connected to their community.
Individual care that is tailored to suit the personal needs of our individual clients.

Duties

Provide personal care to our clients including assistance with showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility.
Provide general home support and light housekeeping duties, assistance with meal preparations, and companionship.
Provide incidental transport to appointments, shopping and social outings.

Skills & Experience

Certificate III in Individual Support is a desirable but not essential
Possess exceptional communication skills, can-do attitude, empathy for and an understanding of the needs of the elderly.
Have patience, and a desire to help improve the lives of seniors and their families.
Be personable, compassionate, approachable and able to build relationships with each of your clients.
Be reliable, responsive, efficient, confident and proactive.
Value and enjoy the company of older people.

Preferred Requirements

Current Victorian Driver's License and have access to a reliable car, and comprehensive car insurance.
NDIS Worker Screening Test
Level 2 First Aid
Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or have a Right to Work in Australia.
