What's the role
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Security Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing gatehouse operations, monitoring site access, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, contractors, visitors, and deliveries.
As a key point of contact on site, you will combine strong security awareness with exceptional customer service, ensuring all site entry requirements and security procedures are consistently followed.
This position operates on a rotating roster of 4 x 12-hour day shifts, followed by 4 days off, then 4 x 12-hour night shifts, followed by 4 days off, providing a balanced work-life schedule. The role is classified and paid at Level 2 under the Security Services Industry Award, with applicable penalties and allowances paid in accordance with the award.
Key responsibilities

Manage gatehouse operations and site access control.

Verify and process contractors, visitors, couriers, and truck drivers entering site.

Monitor and operate security and CCTV systems.

Maintain accurate records, reports, spreadsheets, and site documentation.

Conduct security checks and respond to incidents as required.

Ensure compliance with site security procedures and access requirements.

Build positive relationships with stakeholders while maintaining a professional security presence.

Promote a strong safety culture and support operational compliance across the site.
About you

Previous experience in a security, gatehouse, or access control environment.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Excellent attention to detail and administrative capability.

Experience with data entry, reporting, and Microsoft Office applications.

An understanding of CCTV and security systems.

A current Security Licence and First Aid Certificate.

Australian citizenship or unrestricted Australian working rights.

The ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical, police check, and reference checks.

Flexibility to work a rotating roster of 12-hour day and night shifts.
