We have an exciting opportunity for an Intern Civil Engineer to join our Sydney Roads & Highways team this summer. As part of our Transports division, you'll work alongside industry-leading professionals on projects that help connect communities, improve mobility, and create safer, more sustainable transport networks.

You'll gain exposure to a variety of roads and highways projects, supporting activities such as planning, design development, technical assessments and project delivery. From major highways and urban road upgrades to active transport and intersection improvement projects, you'll contribute to real-world solutions while developing your technical and professional capabilities.

Supported by experienced mentors, you'll be encouraged to learn, ask questions and make a meaningful contribution from day one, helping you build a strong foundation for your future career in civil engineering.

Ideally, you’re in your penultimate year at university studying Civil Engineering. This is a unique role that requires applicants to hold the right to work in Australia. Bring your curiosity, collaborative spirit and strong communication skills, and we’ll help you grow, pursue and fulfil what drives you – so we can make big impacts on the world, together.

Our Summer Internship Program

As an Intern at Jacobs, you’ll be a valued member of our team from Day 1 and work on real projects, bids and tenders from the get-go. Under the guidance and mentorship of our experts and industry leaders you’ll be equipped with the skills and knowledge to deliver the boldest solutions for the extraordinary and the everyday.

From gaining hands-on experience to participating in networking events and structured learning sessions, you’ll find new and inventive ways to help our clients make the world a better place.
