About the role

This role is ideal for someone starting or building a career in joinery and manufacturing. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a production-focused environment, working with quality materials and modern machinery.

Note: We manufacture flat-pack components only — no cabinet assembly or installations required.

Customea is an Australian joinery and manufacturing business specialising in custom doors and components for flat-pack cabinetry. We help customers upgrade standard kitchens, wardrobes, and storage systems into beautiful, custom spaces — without the cost of full custom joinery.

We operate both a modern factory and a flagship showroom, and are recognised nationally as a leader in flat-pack customisation. As demand continues to grow, we’re expanding our production team and offering long-term career opportunities within the business.

Key responsibilities

Sort and handle components coming off CNC and edgebanding machines
Perform QA checks on parts to ensure accuracy and finish quality
Organise orders for paint shop processing or customer pickup
Assist with packing and preparation of flat-pack components
Build packaging crates for orders to be shipped Australia wide
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised factory environment
Support the production team as required

Qualifications & experience

Essential

Genuine interest in cabinet making, joinery, or manufacturing
Ability to safely handle sheet materials and finished components
Basic understanding of workshop safety practices

Highly regarded (but not essential)

Previous experience in a joinery, cabinet-making, or factory environment
Familiarity with MDF, laminates, and sheet materials

Skills & attributes

High attention to detail and quality
Good organisation and time-management skills
Willingness to learn and follow processes
Physically capable of manual handling tasks
Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude
Takes pride in neat and accurate work
