Your role:
We are seeking an Automotive Workshop Trade Assistant on day shift (6am-2.30pm Monday to Friday) at our Randwick bus depot. In this role, you will support a team of Automotive Trades staff (Mechanics, Panel Beaters, Spray Painters etc) to support our bus maintenance and repair requirements. You must be able to work a 10.30am- 7pm or 11am-7.30pm shift when required (15% shift allowance is payable for the whole shift)
Your responsibilities:
Assist Engineering Repair Trades staff with service, maintenance and repair of the bus fleet.
Carry out minor servicing and repairs under supervision.
Support Engineering Repair Trades staff with spare parts issuing and allocation.
Cleaning of the workshop including sweeping floors and emptying bins.
Operate light machinery such as pedestrian forklift, yard scrubber, floor scrubber, bin lifter.
The talent you bring:
Must have relevant automotive experience shown on resume including the use of hand tools and power tools.
Current NSW HR drivers licence (or have a current NSW C class licence and have the ability to upgrade to an HR licence).
Computer literacy with the ability to record accurate maintenance information.
Experience in bus maintenance and public transport operations (desirable).

Pay rate $34.25ph (including industry allowance).
