We are seeking a part time Program Worker, Youth Access to join our team across both Lismore and Ballina to help make a positive social change, together.

What you'll be doing

Work collaboratively with Young People and their Families to support their mental health and wellbeing
Provide intake, assessment and brief intervention supports to Young People as they access the headspace service
Be part of a multidisciplinary team providing holistic support to Young People
Develop your skills and knowledge in undertaking assessments and implementing brief evidence-based interventions

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in health, psychology, social work, or a related discipline that provides a sound understanding and knowledge of assessing and working with young people experiencing mental health concerns.
Engage and communicate effectively with young people, and to undertake intake and screening activities to determine young people’s needs.
The ability and experience to conduct risk assessments, including suicide, self-harm and violence risks, and to develop safety and wellbeing plans to mitigate these risks.
Experience in delivering brief therapeutic interventions, psychoeducation, treatment planning and assist young people to access appropriate services.
