Full Job Description

Weekend Motel Receptionist

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Motel Receptionist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in hospitality, accommodation, tourism, or front-office reception who enjoys delivering excellent customer service and working in a small team environment.

Position Details

Saturday and Sunday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Friday shifts may be available and are negotiable for the right applicant
Additional flat-rate remuneration provided for handling occasional after-hours phone enquiries and reservations

Key Responsibilities

Welcoming guests and providing a professional check-in and check-out experience
Managing reservations and accommodation bookings
Operating online booking platforms and channel management systems
Processing payments, invoices, and daily reconciliations
Responding to phone calls, emails, and guest enquiries
Assisting guests with requests and resolving issues in a professional manner
Coordinating room availability and communicating with housekeeping staff
Monitoring room status and ensuring guest requirements are met
Maintaining accurate guest records and reservation information
General administrative and reception duties

About You

Previous experience in motel, hotel, hospitality, tourism, or reception work preferred
Experience with reservation systems and online booking platforms is highly regarded
Strong communication and customer service skills
Well-presented, organised, and able to work independently
Comfortable handling guest concerns and finding practical solutions
Competent computer skills and attention to detail
Reliable, punctual, and professional
