Full Job Description

Role Summary

As a Senior Automotive Technician, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our reputation for quality by diagnosing, servicing, and maintaining both customer and stock vehicles to the highest standards. You will be adept at handling a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks with proficiency in using both hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic and computerised equipment.

This is a permanent full-time position with a competitive salary package ranging from $80,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation, commensurate with experience and skills.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, service, and maintain vehicles, ensuring all work is performed to manufacturer specifications and quality guidelines.
Conduct repairs and overhauls on a variety of vehicle components including engines, brakes, fuel systems, transmissions, steering and suspension, drivelines, and electrical systems.
Understand and interpret repair order (RO) requirements accurately and efficiently.
Perform test drives to diagnose issues and confirm service outcomes.
Adhere to company policies and regulatory standards at all times.
Accurately record work completed, both written and verbally, for accounting and documentation purposes.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, complying with all safety protocols.
Complete VicRoads roadworthy certificates and testing, where applicable.
Collaborate with team members and management, contributing to a positive and cooperative working atmosphere.
Commitment to upholding a positive organisational image through excellent service and standards

Minimum Requirements

Certificate III and IV in automotive discipline
A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role, demonstrating a high level of technical ability and expertise
