The Opportunity:

We're looking for a creative, energetic and customer-focused Decorator & Front of House Team Member to join our Ballarat team on a part-time ongoing basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety. You'll spend part of your time creating and finishing our delicious bakery products, while also helping deliver the friendly customer experience Beechworth Bakery is famous for.

From decorating our iconic vanilla slices and Beestings to serving customers their favourite treats with a smile, no two days are the same.

What you will be doing:

Product Finishing & Decorating
- Decorate and finish a variety of bakery products to our high presentation standards, including donuts, zoomers, personalised shortbreads, vanilla slices and our legendary Beestings.
- Accurately follow recipe cards, weights and measurements.
- Maintain exceptional product presentation and consistency.
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times.
Front of House
- Deliver warm, friendly customer service that creates memorable experiences.
- Serve food and beverages, process customer transactions and keep our bakery looking its best.
- Share product knowledge and recommendations with customers.
- Support the wider bakery team during busy periods and work collaboratively across all areas of the bakery.

About You:

We’re looking for someone who brings a mix of creativity, precision, and a passion for hospitality.

You’ll ideally have:

Previous experience in a bakery, café, hospitality or food production environment.
Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
A positive, reliable and proactive attitude.
Great customer service and communication skills.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
Barista experience is advantageous, or a willingness to learn.
Trade qualifications (Pastry or similar) are desirable but not essential for experienced candidates.
