As the Draftsperson at NewPro, you will be at the heart of our multidisciplinary engineering projects.
Your mission? To create and revise detailed drawings using AutoCAD that meet the Australian Industry Standards.

Here's what your new role awaits you:
- Drafting and Design: Create and modify civil engineering drawings, P&IDs and PFDs based on engineering specifications, process descriptions, and technical data.
- Compliance: Ensure all diagrams comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., AS, ISO, ANSI, ASME) and company guidelines.
- Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, drafting manager, and other stakeholders to gather input and clarify technical requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of changes, revisions, and updates to diagrams, ensuring proper version control.
- Quality Assurance: Check and review drawings for accuracy, constructability, and compliance, ensuring correct representation of levels, dimensions, materials, and civil infrastructure components.
- Tools and Software: Utilize drafting software such as AutoCAD, or similar tools to produce high-quality drawings.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Competence in utilising Autodesk software products and producing high quality drafting and design.
- Demonstrated experience working in an EPCM deliverable environment, especially familiarity in consulting companies that collaborate with clients.
- Proficiency in applying established civil engineering principles and adhering to Australian Industry Standards in the design and preparation of drawings. Specifically, those that affect initial layouts such as egress, stairway codes, dangerous goods, and tan theta rule.
- Sound understanding of conveyor set outs, process equipment and its impact on initial layout designs.
- Ability to produce detailed civildrawing packs and chute designs.
- Proven capability to work simultaneously across multiple projects, with various sets of client standards, requirements and drawing environments and templates set-ups.
- A willingness to guide and mentor juniors by sharing experiences and knowledge.
- A good understanding of document control processes and drawing model management.
- Sound understanding and knowledge of Autocad Software.
