About the opportunity:
Are you a skilled and motivated individual with a passion for ensuring safe and efficient operations in the concrete industry? We are currently seeking a Production Supervisor or Batcher in charge to join our dynamic team at Bairnsdale.
In this key role you will produce and get concrete "out the gate, safely, in specification and on time". You will work closely with the Area Operations Manager to achieve the efficient and cost-effective operation at the site that meets customer service requirements. You will also engage with all plant staff and drivers and provide strong leadership in the areas of health and safety, the environment, operations management, cost management and operational improvements.
In addition to your initial impact managing operations, you're joining an experienced team with career development and progression opportunities available throughout the region.
Responsibilities:
- Concrete batching & front-end loader operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement the Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Management System.
- Manage the water and waste management system, adhering to environmental requirements.
- Oversee concrete production, meeting customer specifications and deadlines.
- Optimize truck and personnel scheduling to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain stock levels by ordering raw materials and conducting regular inventory checks.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and engage contractors when needed.
- Provide leadership and support to the production team.
- Handle administrative tasks and contribute to operational improvements.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a production or supervisory role.
- Cert IV in training and assessment an advantage.
- Previous batching experience would be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet production deadlines.
- Effective leadership abilities to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Front-end loader certification and LF forklift license.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Information:
- Eligible for RDO's and overtime.
- Some Saturday work required.
