Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Clinical Applications Analyst to join our growing team on a Full Time Ongoing Basis.
We are seeking an experienced and driven Clinical Applications Analyst to join our ICT team. In this senior role, you will work at the intersection of clinical practice, technology, and vendors to design and optimise digital health solutions. You will play a key role in enhancing clinical workflows, supporting the Sunrise EMR and related systems, and contributing to a safe, integrated, and efficient digital health environment across the organisation and broader regional network.

The role of the Clinical Applications Analyst is to:

Act as a key liaison between clinical teams, ICT, and vendors to gather requirements, analyse workflows, and translate clinical needs into effective digital solutions.

Lead business analysis activities including requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, and documentation for clinical applications and EMR integrations.

Coordinate system enhancements, upgrades, and vendor engagements, ensuring robust testing, compliance, and successful implementation.

Support and participate in project delivery, including user acceptance testing, pilot programs, training, and troubleshooting.

Contribute to governance, business cases, and post-implementation reviews to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

Identify and implement opportunities to optimise clinical systems and integrations (e.g. HL7/FHIR), improving efficiency, data quality, and patient safety.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:

Tertiary qualification in health informatics, information technology, business analysis, a clinical discipline, or equivalent experience.

Proven experience as a business/systems analyst within healthcare or clinical systems, including requirements gathering and solution design.

Strong ability to engage with clinicians, technical teams, and vendors, translating complex needs into practical solutions.

Sound understanding of clinical applications, EMRs, and ideally integration standards such as HL7 or FHIR.

Highly organised with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

A collaborative and adaptable professional committed to continuous improvement, innovation, and delivering safe, high-quality digital health solutions.
