The Opportunity
Pittwater Palms is a tranquil retirement community set amid lush tropical gardens on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, offering relaxed coastal living close to Avalon Beach, local clubs, shops, medical services and nature walks. As a Personal Care Attendant, you will provide high-quality personal care, social support and daily assistance to residents within their Aveo home. Our Personal Care Attendants have a strong focus on wellbeing, promoting independence, building social connection and assisting with day-to-day tasks.
This is a casual role, helping our team on an ad-hoc basis with covering leave or when we need an extra pair of hands! Evening and overnight availability is preferred
Your Impact
- Work independently within resident units to provide in-home support including personal hygiene, medication, house cleaning, laundry and more!
- Interact with residents within their homes or spend time out in the community completing daily activities (e.g driving them to appointments or light exercise)
- Provide care, tailored to the resident's needs in line with their current care plans
- Complete simple administration tasks, ensuring resident notes are up to date
- Follow all Aveo OH&S policies and procedures and report any safety, security and resident incidents
What you'll bring
- Experience as a Support Worker or a Home Care Worker, with a passion for community care, independence and wellbeing
- Friendly, adaptable and proactive attitude, with a passion for being part of a community environment
- Strong communication skills, with a genuine ability to build meaningful connections with residents
- Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability or Health Services Assistance (required)
- Valid driver’s licence + vehicle (required)
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate and two COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
