About the Role As a Registered Nurse you will be responsible for providing quality clinical care to patients. You will develop and maintain patient care plans, liaise with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide co-ordinated patient management, provide assessment of patients and co-ordinate outpatient and inpatient treatments.
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA).

A current Sexual Health and Family Planning Australia Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health for Nursing or equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years full-time Post Graduate experience within the previous 5 years in a sexual and reproductive health nurse role (or part time equivalent).

Authorised Cervical Screening Test (CST) Provider; CST Credential and Certification of the Credentialed Course for the appropriate State/Territory (note: if a State or Territory does not offer Authorised CST, Certification of the Well Women’s Screening Certificate through Family planning Australia, or equivalent, is required for CST providers).

Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.

Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
About ACT Health Centre
ACT houses Department of Defence Headquarters, Airforce Headquarters and Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) which is a tri-service military academy. The ACT Health Centre opened mid-2021 and is a large facility. It services approximately 7000 military personnel, including trainee officers from both ADFA and Royal Military College. There is a 24-bed low dependency ward which operates 24/7. Services provided include primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical and physiotherapy. Defence Force Recruitment for medical officers is in addition to health centre roles. Standard hours of operation are generally 0700-1630 Monday to Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).
