About the Role (your why)
Our Product Solutions Group Presales team operates at the front of the sales pipeline assisting clients with their technical designs. We require a broad set of skills and a team that is adaptable to various situations. We require high calibre and proven performers that can blend well with our team and engage our customers to bring insight and design solutions to add value to their business.
As a Pre-Sales Specialist, you will work collaboratively with Clients, Account Management, Vendor and Datacom Technical Domain experts to understand business requirements, and architect cost effective technology-based solutions that address those requirements.
You will define what specific technologies and process changes/improvements should be used. You will also provide direction and guidance to the Account Management team, bid team and operations and bear responsibility for setting the overall technical solution and tactical strategy.
As a Pre-Sales Specialist, you will have strong virtualisation expertise and experience in designing customer on premise, hybrid and public cloud solutions. You will also have good knowledge regarding infrastructure covering server, storage and networking solutions with broad experience in many technical disciplines to provide the best solutions for the client as well as a solid understanding of business and service management principles.
Being a sales support and customer focused role, you will be primarily working out of our Canberra office. We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/ life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best!
Please note that to be successful in this role, you must be an Australian Citizen and be able to achieve a Baseline or NV1 security clearance.
What you’ll do
As the Pre-Sales Specialist, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Providing pre-sales support and expertise to the sales teams nationally in Nutanix technologies

Developing client relationships and translate business/ technical requirements into technical solutions

Participating as a subject matter expert in bid or tender engagements

Developing Statement of Works and corresponding services, including product costings for high-level solutions with a focus on virtualised infrastructure for on premise or hybrid cloud services

Developing, facilitating and engaging in additional business growth opportunities for Datacom

Researching vendor solutions and building/maintaining vendor relationships

Keeping abreast of technology trends and how they apply to solve customer requirements

What you’ll bring
-
You will have a minimum of 5 years’ IT experience in the design, delivery and/or management (run) of sizeable Virtualized environments as well as infrastructure, server, storage, networking, backup, security and hybrid cloud projects.

You will bring a successful track record in Pre-Sales or comparable solution administration and management, with outstanding business knowledge – corporate structure, ROI, TCO, budget, planning strategy, etc. You will be self-driven, possess excellent customer liaison skills and live and breathe technology.

Preference will be given for those with strong Nutanix experience and certifications
